Business Overview

a choral concert combining choral works from modern and contemporary France. Introducing the flow of French choral music, which has not been often touched in Japan, by arranging the composer Lopartz of 19 century France, Poulenc who was born at the end of 19 century and lived in 20 century, and Ersan Oana who composed many choral works in 21 century France. Conducted by Hiroshi Hamada, a vocalist and choral conductor who studied in France, and Kota Yanagishima, who studied in Germany, they shed light on various aspects of French works through different approaches. The choir was performed by Verset Versé, which was formed by ensemble singers in Tokyo to sing contemporary songs, and Verset Versé Project Male Choir, which was formed by open invitation for this concert.

[Verset Versé]
Verset Versé is a French word meaning "poured out verses." This vocal ensemble was organized at the invitation of the chorus conductor Kota Yanagishima to perform the composer Akira Nishimura's "Water Prayer" for the special concert of the JCDA Choral Festival 2022 22 Kitatopia Choral Festival. Comprised of a mix of professional and semi-professional musicians with a strong interest in contemporary music, the group aims to disseminate a wide repertoire of contemporary works while refining their techniques and sensibilities.
