Business Overview
The first koto recital by Rei SAWAI, assistant to the chairperson of the Sawai Sokyuin. The host Rei SAWAI and Mr. Hikaru SAWAI are invited as special performers. Using three kinds of instruments, Soh, 17 stringed Soh and 25 stringed Soh, it is a performance program in which the individuality of each instrument can be felt. A total of 5 pieces were played, including 4 solo pieces centering on "Toshichi no ito (17 Strings) -sagitsu-" composed by Junnosuke YAMAMOTO, and "Megurimuru" composed by Tadao SAWAI, which is a duet with 17 stringed Soh. Profile
[Rei Sawai]
Graduated from Toho Gakuen Junior College of Arts with a major in music. He completed a research course at the same junior college.
While at the university, he studied Soh, 17 stringed Soh and 25 stringed Soh under the second Soju NOSAKA, Michiko TAKITA and Misato HANAOKA. He learned Soh and 17 stringed Soh from Hikoryu SAWAI. He learned shamisen from Hidetaro HONJO and Shujiro HONJO. He is currently studying 25 stringed Soh under Eri NOSAKA.
Assistant to the chairperson of Sawai Sokyuin. He is a member of Nihon Sankyoku Kyokai (Japan Sankyoku Association) and Kiri no Hibiki (Kiri no Hibiki).
