Business Overview
It pursues the performance of shakuhachi music, focusing on classical works, and expresses the appeal of traditional shakuhachi music and the shakuhachi as an instrument. In order to have a broad view of the repertoire of traditional shakuhachi music, pieces with different styles, such as jiuta, koto music, koto school honkyoku, and kinpu school honkyoku, will be selected and one piece of contemporary music will be programmed. Supporting actors include Fumiko Yonekawa, a long-time leading expert in the field of traditional jiuta and koto music, Fumikiyo Yonekawa, Suzumi Aoki, Reiko Aoki, and Mako Aoki.

Profile
[Koichiro AOKI]
From his childhood, he studied shakuhachi under his grandfather, Suzuhen AOKI II, and his father, Suzuhen AOKI III. In 2017, he graduated from the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Graduated from the Graduate School of Music in 2019. He was a scholar of the Aoyama Music Foundation. In the 2019 academic year, he became a trainee for new musicians of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Won the Excellence Award of the 28 Ichikawa City Culture Promotion Foundation New Performers' Contest. He is a member of the Japan Sankyoku Association. He is a councilor of the Kotokoryu Association. He is a member of the Japanese musical instrument ensemble Mashidan.
