Business Overview

From the love-hate swirls of words created by Tsukasa Tsuji, we explored words that counter insults and the bodies of the actors who carry them. This performance focused on the prose-style words and the actors' bodies, connecting them with a minimalist stage design of a "hanging blank piece of paper," resulting in a stoic yet richly dense performance. In contrast to the blank piece of paper, which constantly sways and sways just above the ground, the extremely restrained movements and long silences give each word a sharp weight. This work, which approaches death while affirming life at its very edge, offers a sharp counter to the blink-of-a-moment consumption of modern words, time, and the very nature of life. Following the performance, a talk event was held with director Yusuke Kimura and a guest to deepen audience understanding of the work. Guests: Shibukawa Maron (critic), Tsukasa Tsuji Yuka (Tsuji Planning), Matsuda Masataka (playwright and director), Miki Haruna Written by: Tsukasa Tsuji Yuka (Tsuji Planning) Directed by: Kimura Yusuke Starring: Miki Haruna Organized by: &Co.

In 2013, he became the first Japanese person to enroll in the Master's program in Solo/Dance/Authorship (MA SODA) at HZT Berlin, an educational institution within the University of the Arts Berlin. He returned to Japan in 2016. His work focuses on the history and structure of the subjects, media, and forms of expression he deals with, and his underlying theme is "disturbing the boundaries between self and other."
