Business Overview

At WRO Media Art Biennale, a large-scale media art festival held in Wroclaw, Poland, a digital artificial life NFT robot "Kazokuchi" was exhibited. This is a work that considers what the new technologies of blockchain and NFT could mean for society, such as how the behavior of physical robots is reflected in the actions on NFT (blockchain), and how metaphors of human society such as "ie" and "family line" are layered. During the exhibition, he exchanged views with European artists and curators and had in-depth and substantive discussions about the development of his works.

Profile

Kato Akihiro
Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1992. Graduated from the Graduate University of Information Science and Arts (IAMAS) with a Master's degree in Media Expression. He creates works that depict the relationship between technology and society by combining digital and physical media. His works include "TRUSTLESS LIFE" and "BAIS," which depict the possibilities and challenges of a society that uses blockchain technology through board games, and "WAN NYAN WARS," a project that explores the value of NFTs by depicting a battle between dog and cat advocates.
