Business Overview
Produces and presents new musical plays (scripts and music) on the theme of historical cities, and returns the results to society. Each year the theme of the festival is "2 Ancient Capitals," but in 2023 the focus was on Paris and Kyoto. This film reveals the similarities between the two ancient cities and examines the communication between them (with two characters and two performers). In the composition of the work, he was particular about the balance between words and piano, and realized equal collaboration between recitation and music. Script and direction by Miyuki Furuta. The music was composed and played by Hiiragi KATAYAMA. The story is read by actor Takahiro HOTTA (affiliated with Toei Kyoto Actors Club, Toei Kenkai). Based on the novel The Traveling Pianist and Fermata's Great Adventure by Furuta Miyuki. 2 performances of about 90 minutes were held with different contents.
