Business Overview

JFP joint was implemented as a platform for young and women working in the film industry. An online course was held on the three themes of "social security," "accounting," and "harassment countermeasures," which are assumed to be issues for video freelancers. As the final result of the project, a symposium was held in which four female filmmakers from different generations and occupations took the stage to discuss their respective issues. More than 70 people attended the symposium, and after the symposium was over, there was a variety of exchanges between speakers and participants.

Profile

[Japanese Film Project]
Japanese Film Project is a non-profit general incorporated association that examines the gender gap, working environment, and shortage of young talent in the Japanese film industry, and conducts research and makes proposals to resolve these issues. In recent years, the Japanese film industry has been plagued by harassment, low wages, and long working hours, and producers are lamenting the lack of young talent. JFP will not only conduct "surveys from the decision-making level" but also actively conduct "surveys from the labor side" to consider "sustainable institutional design for the Japanese film industry" and make policy proposals.
