Business Overview
In this project, koto player Reiko Aoki will be invited to perform solo and duet pieces of koto and shakuhachi. The programs are selected from works by leading musicians of each era, such as Mitsuzaki Kengyo, Michio Miyagi, and Kunizan Yamamoto, and works by Western composers, such as Yoshiro Irino and Makoto Moroi. He will also perform a new duet commissioned by Kosuke Negishi. To gain a deeper understanding of the work and the way in which the instruments are played by performing the pieces in succession, each with a different background, and showing the differences and common parts of each piece more clearly.

Profile
[Koichiro AOKI]
From his childhood, he studied shakuhachi under his grandfather, Suzuhen AOKI II, and his father, Suzuhen AOKI III. In 2017, he graduated from the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts. Graduated from the Graduate School of Music in 2019. He was a scholar of the Aoyama Music Foundation. In the 2019 academic year, he became a trainee for new musicians of the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Won the Excellence Award of the 28 Ichikawa City Culture Promotion Foundation New Performers' Contest. He is a member of the Japan Sankyoku Association. He is a councilor of the Kotokoryu Association. He is a member of the Japanese musical instrument ensemble Mashidan.
