Business Overview
Under the theme of "The Medieval Period of the Shakuhachi," this film explores the beginnings of shakuhachi culture. In the first part, 'Koden Sankyoku,' which has been the most prized among the Shakuhachi Honkyoku, is developed. Three pieces of music, 'Murikaichi' (formerly attributed to Meian-ji Temple in Kyoto), 'Kirei' (attributed to Meian-ji Temple in Kyoto) and 'Koku' (attributed to Katsuya YOKOYAMA), are performed in the order of old school and style. Part 2 focused on 'Ikkyu Zenji.'. They performed for the first time a reproduction of 'Daimotsu Korobite' with the one-setsu-kiri shakuhachi (a restored instrument), 'Shireinho' (Shishinpo-ryu), which is said to have been created by Ikkyu Zenji, and 'Kyougun to Kagetsu' (Crazy Cloud and a Flower Moon), which was commissioned by Yuuji KUWAHARA, as the closing piece. In addition, the calligraphy and the space direction were performed by Kasetsu, who created a Zen-like space to create a three-dimensional expression of the world of 'madness' through the 'medieval shakuhachi.'.
