Business Overview
This project aims to support and celebrate those who have experienced great difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and those who have overcome the pandemic by performing two noh plays, which are excellent traditional Japanese performing arts with themes such as immortality, fighting off epidemics, and celebrating life, in New York, the United States, which has suffered unprecedented damage. It provided an opportunity to experience that themes such as immortality and the eradication of epidemics were fundamental and universal problems for people regardless of the time and the world, and to recognize again the importance of daily life in which such themes can be expressed and appreciated as performing arts. By taking a new approach to stage performances during the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to attract a high level of interest from the media and audiences living in the United States. We were able to create an opportunity for audiences who were unfamiliar with Japanese traditional performing arts to experience outstanding stage performances and introduce their charms. In addition, he will also hold workshops and lectures on noh, and hopes that artists living in the United States will be inspired to incorporate elements of Japanese performing arts into their works and have opportunities to collaborate with Japanese artists.
