Business Overview
The second in a series of concerts featuring cello works by Japanese composers. This time, under the theme of "parent and child composers," they performed cello works by 8 composers. Profile
Kei Yamazawa
Won 1st prize in "Kyoraku XI" of the 11 Contemporary Music Performance Competition and received the 24 Asahi Contemporary Music Award. He has made it his life's work to explore the possibilities of the cello and has actively commissioned numerous composers. Since 2015, Mindtree has held an annual recital of unaccompanied cello pieces written since the 20 century. In 21, he launched the "Collection of Works by Japanese Composers" series, which is held regularly.
