Business Overview

This project is a "performance art that considers isolation." Triggered by the murder-for-hire case of an ALS patient that occurred in 2019, the project attempts to find a hopeful side to this state of isolation by considering it from multiple perspectives. The creators of the project are seeking a method of expression that "makes viewers aware of their own values through the act of interpretation," and in this project they explored the possibilities of the act of interpretation by having multiple artists perform different performances simultaneously in the same space. Profile

[Area 51]
An art collective composed of artists of all genres, including theater, video and music production. Mainly based in Tokyo and online, they are active under the banner of "Monozukuri that contributes to society." As a holacracy type organization, plans are discussed and decided on a case-by-case basis so that members are not restricted to their expression activities. The aim of Area 51 is to meet as many people as possible while continuing to create, and to expand the "environment" for creating.
