We organized 2 seminars in May 2020 on the theme of "division" surrounding children. The seminar was canceled due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, but the discussion was held behind closed doors and published as a column on the website. "Effectiveness and Future Potential of Artist Workshops for Children with Disabilities"(Lecturers: Minoru Ebizawa [teacher at Tokyo Metropolitan Shakujii Special Needs School], Hideo Arai [taika and dance artist], Shinobu Omiya [Machi Archinist] and Hiroki [high school student], father and son), "The Potential of Artist Workshops in Correctional Education" (Lecturers: Akio Tsukagoshi [volunteer interviewee/volunteer guardian], Yukari Yamamoto [rhythmic instructor/volunteer interviewee], Ichino Yamamoto [volunteer interviewee], Hideo Arai [body performer/dance artist]);

Profile
[NPO Artists and Children]
In order to create a society in which people with diverse values, ways of thinking, and physical senses can coexist, Artists and Children are engaged in activities to create opportunities for creative learning and play through encounters between children and artists. Established in 1999, it has been active as a non-profit organization since 2001. "ASIAS (= Artist's Studio In A School)" is an activity where professional contemporary artists go to elementary and junior high schools, nursery schools, kindergartens, and orphanages and conduct workshop type classes in cooperation with teachers.
