Business Overview
"Drag Queen Story Hour" (DQSH) is a picture book reading program for children ages 3 to 8 by drag queens. The drag queens stand in front of children as "story queens" who are "unique and personal" and act as storytellers and program facilitators. With introductory songs and hand games in between, children read aloud several picture books on the themes of 'individuality' and 'diversity,' as well as other picture books of interest to the children, and it ends with crafts or coloring. Based on a program that began in the United States, it was the first and only branch in Japan to conduct the program under the supervision of childcare experts.
