Building an archive to promote barrier-free screenings and creating an information site that anyone can access. A symposium was held on the theme of promotion of barrier-free screening including utilization of archives and future possibility. The guest is Ms. Megumi Mitsuki, who is the vice president of City Lights, an organization promoting barrier-free movie viewing, and is always a barrier-free theater association. Ms. Shoko Yamagami, President and CEO of Palabra Co., Ltd., develops and sells the barrier-free movie viewing support app UDCast and produces subtitles and audio guides for mini-theater movies to order. Ise Film director Shinichi Ise, who has begun to make his films barrier-free, was invited for a discussion.

This movie theater was established in 2016 with funds raised by City Lights, an organization promoting barrier-free movie viewing that has been creating a movie viewing environment for the visually impaired since 2001. This is Japan's first universal theater that provides an environment where people with various disabilities, including not only the visually impaired, but also the hearing impaired, the developmentally disabled, wheelchair users, and people with small children, can enjoy movies with peace of mind. Produces audio guides and Japanese subtitles for movies and holds universal screenings every day. Seminars and workshops are held regularly.
