Business Overview
The integrated dance company Hibiki Kyo, which is pioneering a new style of dance expression utilizing diverse physical characteristics including wheelchair dancers, held its 9th independent performance. As a repertoire dance company, they pursue new dance expressions with different choreographers every year. It was established in May 1990 to support people with disabilities in expressing themselves through art and to explore new possibilities for art. Since then, she has been developing activities to ask questions about the new way society should be through the participation of not only people with disabilities, but also people of all ages, genders and ethnicities in art activities. In June 2014, he established Hibiki Kyo, an integrated dance company to develop new forms of dance expression that make use of diverse physical characteristics, in addition to participation-type activities and local art project-type businesses. It is attracting attention as an effort to integrate society and art.
