Business Overview

At the same time as presenting the repertoire that the group has been working on since its inception, the group commissioned Teruaki Suzuki, a composer who represents contemporary Japan, to compose new pieces for the world premiere, thereby creating a new repertoire and history of piano trio. The orchestra will also play two contrasting works, one by Martinou (1930) and the other by Liem (1984), from the classic classical music composed by Schubert in the 19 century, which is considered to be the representative of this genre, and the other from the 20 century, which is completely different musically. This concert shows the historical context of the piano trio in one night. Profile

[TRIO VENTUS]
Formed in 2019 by three musicians who studied in Berlin at the same time, Ventus means wind in Latin. The name was chosen with the desire to have listeners hear the overlapping winds of three musicians who had trained in the same place. Starting with their debut recital at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in October 2020, they have given recitals in various locations. In January 2022, they will hold a tour visiting Miyazaki, Tokyo, and Osaka. At their Tokyo performance (Hakuju Hall), they premiered Teruaki Suzuki's Piano Trio No. 2, which has received rave reviews from all quarters. In addition to classical repertoire, they are actively working on works for the new era.
