Business Overview

It is a concert of 'Nagauta,' which originated as the accompaniment music for Kabuki and is still evolving. Nagauta shamisen player Chotatsuro IMADO was the first memorable concert. The program featured two pieces, "Sangyokuito no Cho" and "Funa Benkei." In "Sankyokuito no Cho," three generations of Naoyuki IMADO, Chotatsuro IMADO and Ryujuro IMADO performed together. "Funa Benkei" was performed by Mitsuya KINEYA, one of the top-class performers in the mid-career, as a tate-uta (vertical song), and by Yoshio NAKAGAWA and Rosen FUJISHAYA, the leading performers who have performed on many stages, as a hayashi (musical accompaniment). It was a performance in which the performer and listeners shared and experienced the real pleasure of nagauta together.
