Business Overview

Using 50,000 carnations, we created 5 flower carpets along Gyoko Street with a total of 300 citizens. The ukiyo-e artist UTAGAWA Kunisada painted a series of kagami-e (mirror paintings) in the Edo period, which was revived by the flower artist FUJIKAWA Yasuhiko under general supervision. The size of 1 piece is 48 m2 (6 m x 8 m). The completion ceremony on the first day was attended by Her Imperial Highness Princess Nobuko Tomohito, who was appointed Honorary President, Chiyoda Ward Mayor Higuchi, Shimizu Shrine Governor of Kanda Myojin Shrine, Ambassador Andre of the Republic of Malta, Metropolitan Assembly member Chiyo Araki and Nobuko Irie, and a live performance of the theme song "Hana wa Sakimaretaru" by Takako Shirai was also held. On that day, many media came to cover the event, and it was introduced on many TV programs, including the Imperial Household Album and the Imperial Family. Partly because of this, the number of visitors during the 3 days was about 90,000.
