Business Overview
"FESTIVAL TANDEM" has been continuously active since 2016 with the aim of becoming a creative platform for new international cultural exchange. In order to keep the fire of culture alive even during the COVID-19 pandemic, an urban concert will be held at Billboard Live Tokyo for the purpose of international cultural exchange of performance art, in parallel with live concert with an audience and online streaming. Terry Riley, the founder of minimal music who is currently in Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, agreed with the project and participated as the main act. On the 1st stage of the Billboard Live, she will perform -Everything and Beyond- "Tokyo Premiere" with Sara Miyamoto, and on the 2nd stage, she will perform improvisation to the video of "Oshraga: Land of Soul" by François Girard, a film director from Quebec, Canada, for whom he was in charge of music. French electronic music artist Clicquot Coucien will be the opening act. This is a combination that would only be possible in Tokyo today. Ahead of the concert, Dommune hosted a talk between Terry Riley and his beloved Japanese musicians.
