Business Overview

Contemporary music ensemble "Tokyo Genon Keikaku" performed. The sixth installment of Composers Selection, which entrusts one composer with commissioning new works and supervising programs, features Mori Noriaki. As a saxophonist and event organizer, Mori is known for his activities that transcend genres such as contemporary music, jazz, and improvisation. The keywords for this year's event are "borderless" and "academia." For his new saxophone concerto, he has invited Akira Sakata, a leading figure in free jazz, as a guest soloist. Profile

[Tokyo Genon Keikaku]
Formed in 2012 by musicians active at the forefront of contemporary music. A new perspective is proposed from the performer side, such as a program focusing on Japanese premieres, commissioning unique compositions, and workshops for young performers, composers, and staff. In 2013, he received the 13 Keizo SAJI Award from the Suntory Arts Foundation for his work "Tokyo Genon Keikaku # 01".
