Classes are divided according to age and experience. The parent and child classes aim to learn how to play children's songs, and the children's classes aim to learn how to play sakura and sandan-cho. In the final recital, they will show off their achievements with shamisen and shakuhachi. Parents are also given kimono dressing lessons while waiting, and they are given six lessons to learn about traditional kimono dressing. On the day of the recital, a kimono dresser is requested in the morning to dress those who wish. [Environment for participants to continue hands-on experience (practice) of traditional performing arts] By actually playing koto, the participants will experience the charm of Japanese music that they could not understand just by listening to it or seeing it. Chiga Yamaki, the representative of our association, holds trial lessons for the general public once every three months at Ikebukuro Seibu Community College, and will invite those who wish to attend.

Profile
Yamaki-kai
Yamaki-kai is an organization that holds and produces concerts of classical music related to Yamada school sokyoku, and is planning to hold its 62 th concert in November of this year (2021). In recent years, a large-scale concert (Yamaki 200 years memorial concert) was held in the fiscal year 2018.
Yamada-ryu Sokyoku, one of the two major schools of Sokyoku, is a genre of Sokyoku started by Yamada Kengyo (1757-1817), and Yamada-ryu Yamaki school is an art style started by Yamada Kengyo's famous direct pupil Yamaki Kengyo the first (? -1820). Senga YAMAKI, the head of the Yamaki school, has inherited the art of Yamada school and Yamaki school for generations since the late Edo period for more than 200 years, and since the middle of the Showa period, he and his disciples have formed the Yamaki-kai association and worked to popularize and develop Yamada school sokyoku, which has a long history and achievements. Senga YAMAKI the seventh, who is the chairperson of the applicant group, Yamaki-kai, is the youngest director of the Japan Sankyoku Association and the Yamada School Sokyoku Association, and is actively engaged in the production of new Japanese music through collaboration with other fields and companies.
