[Event to be experienced] Nagauta-shamisen [Number of experiences (per person, including presentations)] 4 times [Main lecturers] Toon Tomohisa Takahashi, Toon Eiriko Yamamoto, Toon Gojiro Sakamoto [Feature of the project] This time, mainly for those who experience Nagauta-shamisen for the first time, the organizer will prepare the necessary equipment and participants can participate with nothing. The contents of the workshop include basic practice, performance of "Hotarukoi," "Sakura Sakura," "Kokajiya yori no aikata," and "Kanjincho yori aikata" according to the progress of each class, and the results are shown on the final day. In addition, a demonstration performance by the instructor will be shown, and you can experience the sound of a professional. [Environment for participants to continue hands-on experience (practice) of traditional performing arts] If participants want to continue learning, we can introduce instructors according to their area. In addition, for those who participated this time, "continuation class" will be established in future workshops to aim for further step up.

Profile

General Incorporated Association Nagauta Toon-kai
It was established in 1957 under the late Shotaro Yamada (a member of the Japan Art Academy, Living National Treasure and Person of Cultural Merits), a professor of Tokyo University of the Arts at the time. There are more than 150 members at present, mainly graduates of Tokyo University of the Arts, and it is a performance group that is engaged in a wide range of activities, from the study of classical pieces to the creation of new pieces, aiming at the succession, popularization and development of nagauta.
