Business Overview

"Bongiorno! Civic Opera" is a business launched with the concept of showing new doors to unknown fields and letting people experience the world they have never known before. This time, in consideration of measures against infectious diseases during the COVID-19 pandemic, we invited you to experience the backstage of the opera through open rehearsals and online, and to enjoy the inside of the opera that you have never known before. Donizetti's "Miracle of Love" was performed in its entirety. The stage was set in the flat earthen floor of the auditorium, and the whole hall was used as a square, so that the audience could share the square where the incident occurred. The choir formed collaborative choirs with local choirs in Nagasaki City and Fujinomiya City, and was able to realize a multi-regional community using a common language of music. These scenes will be distributed in various video contents.

Profile

Inagi Civic Opera
Inagi Civic Opera was established in 2013 by Inagi City resident opera director Norio Baba and soprano singer Masumi Kawakami. In 2015, they performed the opera 'La Traviata' as their first performance. It was a great success with a full house. Since 2017, opera productions such as "Bat," "Carmen," and "La Boheme" have been performed every year, all of which were successful and sold out. It is attracting attention as an organization that conducts active activities such as workshops with the aim of creating a stage independently by a choir.
