Profile

[Korean New Playwright Series Executive Committee]
A theater organization that connects Japan and Korea. Through the "Korean New Playwright Series," a project to translate and perform works that have won awards from the New Year Literary Awards, the gateway to success for new Korean writers, the aim is to introduce the works of writers who will play a leading role in the future of Korean theater in Japanese at the earliest opportunity, to share with the audience the problems of modern society through the "point of view of society" that the winning works have, and to think about the future of theater in Japan and Korea. Although small in scale, the theater serves as a hub for cultural exchange between Asia and plays a role in connecting Japanese and Korean theater artists on a grassroots basis.
