Business Overview
This outdoor ballroom dance exchange event aims to expand the circle of communication around the world through ballroom dance, which is enjoyed all over the world [regardless of nationality, age, or culture] and is a universal form of communication that does not require language. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event will be held online. There are various ways to participate, and participants can choose to participate in their own way, whether it be by watching, participating, or performing. The specific program includes: 1) amateur citizen dance performances [junior 3-18 years old, young & middle 20-64 years old, senior 65-85 years old, paradance (wheelchair dance, blind dance), Japan, China, Russia] 2) professional show (professional ballroom dancers, painter, calligrapher, singer) 3) ballroom dance experience lecture 4) finale dance for all participants 5) Japan Wheelchair Sports Federation founder Mr. Yotsumoto, Japan Dance Council Chairman Mr. Kusunoki, Chinese wheelchair dance instructor, and more. ◎ Professional ballroom dancers performing: Liu Ying, Goto Fumio, Kamiya Tomomasa, Uetake Toshie, Daimon Masayoshi, Svetlana Toropova

【 Warudo Dance Festival Executive Committee 】
It was established in 2018, and held outdoor social dance exchange events in the parks (Minami Ikebukuro Park and Higashi Ikebukuro Park) of Toshima Ward in 2018 and 2019. Led by professional ballroom dancers Chinese Latin champions Liu Ying and Fumio Goto, Takanobu Nagao of the Japan-China Friendship Association in Toshima Ward, Koji Tomizawa, chairperson of the International Friendship Association, and Harumi Chihisa, representative of the Musicafonte Theater Company, the group is working with the aim of encouraging many people to enjoy the art culture of ballroom dance, which is a form of communication that does not require a common language throughout the world, and to expand the circle of international exchange.
