FY2 Reiwa 2020 2nd Term Creation Grant [Single-Year Grant Program]

Business Overview
The Theater Commons is a project to create "common land" in society by utilizing the "common knowledge" of theater. By "using theater" in daily life and urban space, in other words, utilizing theatrical ideas, it aims to present the form of "the coming theater/theater". Through theatrical imagination, different things and multiple times intermingle, and together with the artist, they create an experience that brings dialogues and discoveries that disintegrate everyday life. This time, 12 programs curated under the theme of "hatching/hiding body" will be held at multiple venues in Minato Ward and in a new format in which participants can choose between real and remote participation online. Films and theater performances using VR/AR by Tsai Mingliang, Nakamura Yuko, Koizumi Akiro, Susanne Kennedy, etc., therapy performances by Momose Fumi, tour performances by Takayama Akira/PortB, lecture performances by Sato Tomoko, and workshops by Buddy Darul were held. Two Commons Talks and two Commons Forums were delivered online.
