Business Overview
The "Pieces of Garden" project is a new style of garden proposed by Daniel Silva. In November 2019, 50 "nendodango" (earthenware dumplings containing several kinds of seeds) were scattered in various places in Tokyo. The participants provided information such as the temperature, time, and location at the time each Nendodango sprouted. Together with the power of technology and algorithms, the information was reassembled in the form of sculptures, images, and installations to create a new form of garden. We were unexpectedly struck by the global pandemic of the novel coronavirus. Strangely, however, the project hinted at something important we realized in this context. For example, connection with people, floating feeling that everything is undecided, resilience and resilience from adversity, relationship with nature, etc. Geographically, these plants were scattered throughout Tokyo as "fragments of a garden," but from a different perspective, they created a large "garden."
