Business Overview

In this project, we developed human resources to produce audio guides, including subtitles, based on three classic Western films of different genres: Stagecoach, Miracle on Thirty-fourth Street, and Casablanca. The resulting audio guide was listened to by the general public during screenings, and a questionnaire survey was conducted to explore its potential as a tool for watching movies. After the screening, a workshop titled "What is the essence of a movie?" was held to verify whether the audio guide is effective as a device to bring out the essence of a movie and its fun. Workshops on “Stagecoach ” and“ Miracle on Thirty-fourth Street ” were held on September 29 and December 22, respectively, but the “Casablanca ” workshop scheduled for March 2020 was canceled to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. (Kenta Hayashi, a representative of "Workshop for Art Appreciation with the Visually Impaired," was in charge of planning and facilitating the workshop.)
