Business Overview
Contemporary dance choreographer Akiko Kitamura started this international collaborative project with Japanese and Asian artists in 2015. He conducted research on traditional dances, music, spirit rituals, and martial arts rooted in each region of Southeast and South Asia, and was inspired by the artists and cultures he encountered there. Using the keywords "memory," "ruins," and "body," he presented experimental works that traverse historical trends and places. It is a prayer that transcends differences in culture, language, etc., and fuses (crosses) the "seeds" that have been treasured and handed down in the music and body movements of each region, and blooms as a "future Asia." "Cross Transit" performed in the United States was the first work of this project, and "Ryojin no Uta" performed in Tokyo after "Tsuchi no Keki" is the latest work.
