Business Overview
This is a workshop program in which children form a design team called "Kodomochounaikai" and play and learn together to create "Omatsuri". The theme for 2019 is "Design Pick - The Power of Design to Overcome Limits and Boundaries". 24 children, ranging in age from 5 to grade 6, met diverse personalities through fashion design as self-expression, and learned the joys and difficulties of collaboration through architecture and town design. They also experienced the power of design to connect people and the world through dance and music. The children's activities culminated in the Kodomochounaikai Festival 2019 "Design Pick." The design picks they created became a playground and place for many children and their families to learn about design. Supervisor: Kaori Shikiji (Kodomo Chounaikai Secretariat) Director: Mikiko Stou (choreographer) Tetsutaro TAKE (musician/artist) During the summer holidays, the Future Language Team was invited to create encounters between children and the challenges of disabilities. The children worked together with the victims and supporters to create a theme park for the five senses, such as an invisible maze, a detective game that cannot be heard, and a riddle that cannot be spoken. Future Language Team: Masashi Nagano (NIHONGO) Takaya Matsuda (Heralbony) Fumi Kikunaga (A cross-language lab.) Kosuke Takahashi (Baille Neue)

Profile
[Kodomochounaikai Secretariat]
Kodomochounaikai is a group of architects and designers involved in various "monokotohito" designs such as architecture, products, advertising, web, fashion, and education. I believe that the power to create a monokotohito refers to the soft "reason and sensitivity" that enables one to find problems and solve problems creatively. "Design" nurtured the members' sense of reason and sensibility, and they started a workshop called "Kodomochonaikai" with the hope of making use of this power in children's education.
