Business Overview
The Nihon Sankyoku Kyokai (Japan Sankyoku Association), in consideration of the achievements of the past five regular performances of "Nihon no Hibiki" (Japanese reverberation), has launched a new thematic project, and with the cooperation of the head family of the Kanze school, has decided to hold an annual series of performances centering on works related to Nohgaku at the Kanze Noh Theater from this year. This is the first performance. The performance begins with a simple song 'Shinka' by Kanze head family, Seiwashi KANZE, followed by "Okina" by our association chairperson and Living National Treasure Seikinshi TOYAMA and others, and "Chogon Utayoku" by honorary chairperson and Living National Treasure Yamase Shoinshi and others. "Hagoromo," a new work commissioned by our association and composed by KIYOMOTO Eikichi, performed for the first time by 29 performers.

The Japan Sankyoku Association is an organization of professors and performers of sankyoku (A form of ensemble accompanied by singing, with koto, sangen, and shakuhachi) with a history of more than 50 years, and has more than 5000 members nationwide. With the aim of "To contribute to the promotion of Japanese traditional arts and the development of Japanese music culture by promoting the spread of koto, sangen and shakuhachi and promoting exchanges among schools of sankyoku." they hold five sponsored performances a year, and actively train young musicians and send lecturers to schools and experience classes.
