Business Overview
This event has been held once a year at the National Theatre of Japan to bring together several performers from the traditional performing arts among the Living National Treasures designated as Important Intangible Cultural Properties. This time five Living National Treasures will appear: Living National Treasures Shifumi Uji (Icchubushi), Nakasaburo NIINAI (Shinuchibushi), Komanosuke TAKEMOTO (Gidayu), Kimihisa KATATA (Hogakubayashi), and Mansaku NOMURA (Kyogen). He was able to convey the depth and interest of traditional performing arts beyond the framework of Japanese music. Not only the holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (Living National Treasure), but also young performers in their respective fields performed, and it was a significant opportunity to show how the traditional performing arts have been handed down.

Profile
[General Incorporated Association Shinnai]
It is an organization that conducts performance activities, lectures, and training programs of classical performing arts with the aim of contributing to the development of cultural society in order to spread Japanese classical performing arts widely and to pass them on to future generations.
Tomiaki TSUNODA, the representative director, is the fourth head of the Shinneisetsu Fujigen school. He currently serves as vice president of the Shinnai Association. He started to learn Shinnai-bushi at the age of 6, became a disciple of his uncle Nakazo SHINUCHI at the age of 15, and was allowed to use the name Nakasaburo SHINUCHI at the age of 18. In 1984, he succeeded to the sixth iemoto of the Fujimoto school, and the following year, he gave a performance to announce his succession to the iemoto at Kabuki-za Theater. In 2001, he was designated as the holder of the Shin-naibushi shamisen (Living National Treasure), an Important Intangible Cultural Property, and in 15, he was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon. In 2017, he became the fourth head of the Shinnaigetsu Fujigen school and has continued to this day.
