Profile

[Okowa]
"Okowa" is an abbreviation for (music, children's castle, we). An organization that works on the theme of "children and music," which was established by a mother living in Tokyo. Children's Castle, long loved by parents and children as the only national comprehensive children's center, was Japan's largest center for children's art activities, but due to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's decision, it was sadly closed in March 2015. With the closure of the Children's Castle, a project was launched to share and inherit the program so that the 30 year experience of the castle will not be lost. At the same time, the aim is not only to pass on the music to the next generation, but also to carry out new creative activities together with up-and-coming young artists and open up the future of children's music.
