Business Overview

"Let's go to the museum" is an appreciation workshop where children from orphanages are invited to the museum during holidays, summer holidays and other long vacations to enjoy artworks together with art communicators. Invitations are sent to each participant in advance, and on the day of the event, children and art communicators work in pairs. Through casual conversations on the way to the venue and icebreakers using art cards, each child is closely attuned to their viewing activities, which are different from classes at school. It is characterized by a style in which adults and children can enjoy the works through dialogue, while respecting each individual's awareness and discovery. Through a variety of works and encounters with art communicators, children will encounter diverse values and lifestyles, and create opportunities to connect with society.

Profile

[knock-knock]
As an art communicator who works with art and people, it was established with the desire to provide qualitative support to people facing various social issues through "art" and "relationships" rather than things. With the aim of creating a place where people who have few opportunities to access art due to disabilities, illness, or living in a nursing home can encounter art and various values through art, we plan and manage art experience activities that participants can enjoy independently by utilizing cultural facilities such as museums and art galleries. Established in April 2014 by art communicators from the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum and Tokyo University of the Arts' Tobira Project. Currently, the project is run mainly by art communicators who have completed their tenure.
