Jenny Sealey, Artistic Director of Greeye Theatre Company, UK, who served as Co-Director of the 2012 London Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony, has been invited to participate in a symposium with Slow Label Director Ryoi Kurisu, who works to create a place for people with and without disabilities to meet and collaborate, and Roboticist Ken Endo, renowned for his research and development of athletic prosthetic legs (for the Paralympic Games). With a growing awareness of creating an environment that applies the power of culture and science and technology and allows all people, regardless of whether they have disabilities, to enjoy sports and art, we will share the results of the London Olympics and the Unlimited, and consider what Japan should do now as we look toward 2020. [Jenny Sealey]
Director. Since 1997 he has been Artistic Director of the Greyeye Theatre Company, a British theatre company of professional actors and staff with disabilities, creating innovative works that effectively incorporate sign language and phonetic portrayal, which have been acclaimed throughout the UK and Europe. In 2009, he was awarded the Order of the British Empire MBE for his contributions to improving accessibility in the UK performing arts sector. He was an artistic advisor for Unlimited, one of the cultural programmes associated with the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games, and co-director of the London Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony.
