Profile

[Manabu Kanai]
Artist. Born in Tokyo in 1983. He develops his production activities by reexamining the act of "making art" itself from the perspective of interdisciplinary research. Supported by a grant from the Paula Foundation for the Promotion of Fine Arts, she was a visiting researcher at The Center for Ideas, a research institute affiliated with the University of Melbourne (Australia), for 1 year from 2015. Positioning the art practice as the technology to organize time (presentedness) from the viewpoint of the technical philosophy, the research which explores the methodology of the art practice with the keyword of "trans presentness" is carried out.
