Business Overview

Lincoln Center Festival, New York's largest summer performing arts festival, has invited us to participate in its 2016 festival. He has been working hard to promote the traditional performing art of Nohgaku both in Japan and overseas, and with the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games coming up, he thought it would be a great opportunity to disseminate Japanese culture to the world, so he readily agreed to perform.

【 Kiyokazu Kanze 】
Born in 1959. The eldest son of Sakon Motomasa KANZE, the 25 head of the Kanze family. He succeeded to the iemoto (the head of the school) in 90 and is a leader in the modern Nohgaku world. He actively works not only on domestic performances but also on overseas performances, as well as on new Noh plays such as "Toshihisa" and reprints of "Hakozaki" and "Akoyamatsu." In recent years, he has been involved in cross-genre exchanges with traditional Japanese performing arts such as kabuki and bunraku. 2012: Received the Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts (the 63 th). He received the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2015. He is the holder of 'Nohgaku' (Noh play) (general designation), an Important Intangible Cultural Property.
