Business Overview

This is a collaboration between dance and theater, co-directed by Toru Sasaki, playwright and director of the Liquor Room, and Chen Weining, dancer of Century Contemporary Dance Company. This is the 2nd work of the 2 artists who have been working together since 2014, and will be performed at venues in Tainan and Taoyuan. In international co-productions, the theme of the business is "From the artist's point of view, ask what the next challenge of exchange is." and in addition to creating works, through talk sessions between artists, the aim is to create unknown things while sharing the feeling of. Profile

Toru Sasaki (playwright and director)
Born in 1980. After working as an actor with Ku Nauka Theatre Company under the name Sasaki Rikuu, he began writing in 2007. He is described as a "demon of relativization" for his advanced style of writing that focuses on "why stories are necessary" and searches for the ideal form of drama.
So far, he has won the Best Drama Award in 2013 for (2014, Taipei) sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Japan Association of Theatre Companies, participated in the Asian Festival of Performing Arts (2013-2014), and was invited to Mocheng City.
