Business Overview

This project aims to spread and develop the film and storytelling culture that developed in our country, particularly in Tokyo, through demonstrations and workshops in European countries (Germany, Italy, Netherlands, etc.) and Japan. At the same time, by participating in a project to organize, digitize, and open to the public the sound source materials of Japan before the war held at the University of Bonn, he played a role to disseminate the oral entertainment culture of Tokyo widely in the field of academia and to provide a deeper understanding as a research object.

Profile

In 2002, he became a disciple of Midori SAWATOTO. In addition to performances in Japan, he also performed in the United States, Germany, Australia, Katsu and Canada. He has worked on about 300 silent films of all genres, including Western, Japanese, Chinese, anime and documentary films. In addition to being a katsudo benshi, he was also active in kamishibai (picture show), voice acting, shoseibushi (calligraphy) and writing. He also participated in "Haru no Yuki" (Spring Snow) directed by Isao Yukisada and Tamio OKUDA's pamphlet DVD as a benshi. In recent years, he has been staying in the United States and Germany for a long period of time, and has been making efforts to spread the culture of active photo benshi abroad.
