Business Overview
Ohayashi has been good at livening up the place and making it lively, as the word 'hayashi tatsu' (literally, to raise music) suggests. In ancient times, it was a festival to pray for a good harvest, and in the Edo period, it played an important role as the music of Kabuki. In this project, the festival will be held in a relaxed space called a live house so that people can enjoy the charms of Ohayashi more closely. It is characterized by the selection and arrangement of music regardless of the era and genre so that the venue can be enjoyed as one and lively. Especially, new music that cannot be heard anywhere else is developed in the session with the guest (Saxophone, Tuba, Accordion) of traditional Japanese music. A project that broadens the appeal and enjoyment of musical accompaniment. It has been active since 2011, with Hideyuki MOCHIZUKI and Sajuro MOCHIZUKI, two Hayashikata (In charge of musical instruments for Ohayashi, mainly kotsuzumi (small hand drum), otsuzumi (large hand drum), and taiko (Japanese drum)) as its main members. From classical Japanese music to mutual music sessions with guests from all genres, classical music and jazz, they explore new ways of enjoying Japanese music.
