Profile

[Rinkougun]
Focusing on the newly written plays and directed works of the director, Yoji Sakate, this ambitious new performance combines a journalistic point of view with an original theme, while keeping in view the theme of the conflict between < community > and < individual >. In addition to 3~5 performances and tours in Japan, he has performed in 23 cities in 14 countries, including "Capital of the Land of the Gods" and "Attic." There is a rich coexistence of rigid sociality, fantasies born from a critical understanding of Japanese culture, deep consideration of language, and an active spirit of experimentation with physical expression. We will continue to explore the possibilities of contemporary theater by incorporating contemporary themes into the medium of theater and promoting experiments in the form of expression.
