Business Overview

A new work by Okazaki Geijutsuza, led by Yudai Kamisato. A year and a half after his previous work Black Coffee, which was a finalist for the Kishida Kunio Drama Prize, this production focuses on the Japanese and the crossing of mother tongues, drawing on questions that have been addressed in recent Kamisato's works, such as the problems faced by immigrants and laborers, the relationship between individuals and national identities, and communication with others living in the same era. Kamisato's interviews with Japanese Americans in Okinawa, Peru, and the United States from last fall to this spring will be reflected in the content. In addition, rehearsals will be held in two periods, July of this year and January of next year, with the aim of deepening further by creating over time.
