Business Overview
In the fringe project "Purification." of Makoto Sato's private theater troupe, Oza, he has repeatedly performed the British playwright Sarah Kane's play “Cleansed, ”“ Cleansed, ” and “Washed and Cleaned, ” in collaboration with various artists, including actors, dancers, dancers, contemporary musicians, and opera singers, led by young director Tomoko Kawaguchi. Viva Death will be performed as the concluding part of this project which has performed only one play. After Cleansed, Sarah Kane wrote Viva Death, a story about the nuclear catastrophe, but it was never released. This performance is an attempt to perform the phantom work "Viva Death" based on the title left by Sarah Kane and based on the previous performances. Profile
Kawaguchi Tomoko
Born in 1983. Graduated from Tokyo Gakugei University. He studied under Makoto SATO, a playwright and director.
Participated in recent works directed by Makoto SATO, including the drama Turku. In 2008, he established Beckett Cafe, a joint project with researchers, and performed "It's not me." and Play (all newly translated by Minako OKAMURO). “Cross Cultural Dialogue Project Absolute AIRPLANE” started in 2013 with the aim of creating a mobile art spot in Asia (Joint Project/Takusho [Shinnen: 20 facades, small theater. Daishogeki Ashu Society]).
