At the same time, a workshop (July 2014) was held with Jo Perkes (February 2014), who has been engaged in innovative activities overseas, and Adam Benjamin, the former artistic director of CandoCo Dance Company. After that, choreographers Takiko Iwabuchi and Yukio Suzuki created their works with the company members and presented them as Work in Progress (September 2014). We will also promote community dance by holding workshops with people with disabilities in the community and schools, and we will develop a training program for teachers so that young dancers in schools and local communities can express themselves with people with disabilities.

Profile

【 Creative Arts Executive Committee 】
Since its establishment in 1990, the group has been developing unique activities that explore the possibilities of new arts through the joint expression of people with and without disabilities. In addition to providing opportunities and programs for people with disabilities to express themselves through these activities, young Japanese choreographers who are involved in these activities hold dance activities with people with disabilities, opening up new possibilities of expression for the choreographers themselves (Co-produced by Kim Ito & Adam Benjamin, Mun Yamada & Amici, Ryohei Kondo & CandoCo, etc.).
