Business Overview

Part 3 of the 2013 "Human Voice" series, which focuses on the "power" of human voice and language, features Frido's mono opera "Diary of Anne Frank" and Berio's "Folk Song" with soprano Amaha Akie as guests. The Diary of Anne Frank is a remarkable piece of music that depicts the psychology of a young girl tossed about by anxiety and despair. This is the first concert performance in Japan, and a new direction by ensemble member Inagaki Satoshi delicately depicts the wavering emotions of a young girl. Luciano Berio's "Folk Song," the latter half of his work, is an indispensable vocal work in the modern era, making full use of the colorful, simple, and delicate beauty of folk songs from around the world, black spiritual songs, and medieval popular songs. This time, he will perform an original chamber version of the work, in which the individuality of the work stands out.
