Business Overview
Asukayama Takigi-noh, which was started in October 2003 by the late Nohgakushi Kunya Kimura, who lives in Tabata, with the intention of "giving back to Kita Ward, where I grew up, through noh," will celebrate its 11 th performance. The setting with bonfires and Japanese candles in the scenery that makes you feel nature and history invites you to a world of obscurity. The first part of the eve of the festival: Shimai performed by the University Noh Association, etc.; the second part of Kyogen: Noh 'Hagoromo' by Otomasa SAKAI, etc.; this performance: Subayashi 'Shishi' by Motohaku KANZE, etc.; Kyogen 'Bushi' by Mansaku NOMURA, Mansai NOMURA, etc.; Noh 'Tsuchigumo' by Yoshimasa KANZE, etc.

Profile
The late Kunya KIMURA, who lived in Kita Ward, was a member of the Association for Japanese Noh Plays and the general holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property Nohgaku (Noh), and held it for the first time in 2003 as the chairperson of the executive committee to commemorate the 400 year anniversary of the establishment of the Edo bakufu. Since the fourth performance, volunteers from local town associations, shopping districts, and companies have carried on the wishes of Mr. Kunya KIMURA as an executive committee. Performances include Mansaku NOMURA, Genshoshi UMEWAKA and other leading Japanese Noh actors. Starting this year, the festival will be held on the eve of the festival with the participation of members of the University Noh Drama Study Group and the Regional Yokyoku Association.
