Business Overview

Montreal, Busan, and Tokyo produce numerous contemporary dance works every year. This dance project is co-curated by Tanjang (Canada), LIG Art Hall (Korea), and Aoyama Amphitheater (Japan), and features choreographers from the three countries who will lead the next generation, and tours the three theaters once every two years. This is the third time since it started in 2008. In addition to performances, lectures, post-performance talks, dance workshops and creative workshops will be held in each host city. Participating choreographers: Teita Iwabuchi, Kaori Seki (Japan), Helen Simoneau (Canada/USA), Soo-hyun Kim (Korea)

[Teiichi Iwabuchi, author]
As a dancer, he has participated in APE, Nibroll, Itoh Kim + Kagayaku Mirai, Co. Yamada Un, Ko & Edge. Co, etc. In 2012, he won the French Embassy Prize for Young Choreographers at the Yokohama Dance Collection 2012EX for the collaborative choreography work "Hetero" with Seki. He is also a member of the performance unit "Mure".

[Kaori Seki, Japanese author]
As a dancer, she has participated in works by Yamada Un and Ohashi Kaya, and began her creative activities in 2003. In 2007, she founded Gungun with other artists of her generation. In 2012, she won the French Embassy Prize for Young Choreographers at the Yokohama Dance Collection EX2012 for "Hetero," and the Toyota Choreography Award 2012 for "Next Generation Choreographer Award" for "Mahamont."
