Business Overview

In 2001, a girl was killed by a man in a small town and dumped in an irrigation ditch. The incident caused a small stir among the boys and girls living in the city. As they move back and forth from 2011, 10 years after the incident, to the present, their personal memories, the time they spent, and historical memories of what happened around the world intersect. While using a lot of repetition (refrain) on the stage, which is a major characteristic of Mam and Gypsy, the audience vividly evokes their own “memories ” and the“ special time ” of the audience itself by treating individual memories and world memories carefully and equally. This ambitious work presents a new relationship between the stage and the audience, and is the first overseas performance of Maam and Gypsy.
