Sumida Mirai Artist Project Vol.1 "Hawk's eye - The world seen by Hokusai"

Business Overview
15 students, from grade 4 to grade 3 of junior high school, participated in the program through public recruitment from inside and outside Sumida Ward, and after practicing 14 times, they went to a hut and performed 3 times in total. The work is titled “Hawk's eye – The world seen by Hokusai ” and is based on Hokusai's flower and bird paintings. Using Hokusai's paintings as motifs for each scene, the children were asked to come up with ideas for movements, so that the children could be involved in the creation as much as possible. For music, we sampled children's voices and incorporated them into the music, and created scenes in which their favorite instruments played active roles. The performers were professional actors and young dancers who acted as assistants in addition to the performers, and the staff consisted of a reliable team who were always active on the front lines.
